We took a bunch of kids to the beach yesterday! I was thinking that I'd get some good shots of the kids and a few other things at the beach, which would all be fun. I wasn't expecting anything overly exciting!!Then as the kids were playing in the shallow water, one of them spotted this! Yeah!.. and you should be frightened!! Amazingly, the kids weren't frightened, and neither was I!! In fact, the stingray seemed more frightened of us. But, after being told to, they got out of the water.... and I stayed... to get this!!!
I was so excited! God is so good! I've had so many good captures of His creation lately... it amazes me!!
And it got me thinking about the things He has made, and remember back in the beginning of Genesis. After He had finished creating everything it says:
"And God saw everything that He had made, and behold it was very good (suitable, pleasant) and He approved it completely." (Gen 1:31, Amp)
Even STINGRAYS!! :-)

Note from Sunday 10th: Hey, this ray made it to church today, and on the screen he looked enormous!! The actual size was about 60cm (24").
And boy, kids sure remember BIG!! Yesterday, one of the little kids ran up to some grown-ups and with wide eyes, excitedly told them about the HUGE stingray in the water!! He said it was about as wide as from the chair to that rug over there... which was about 3 meters!!
Neat shot, Jeanette... Makes me wonder where Stingrays and other aquatic life fit into Creation when we read:
Genesis 2v19-20 "Now the LORD God had formed out of the ground all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the air. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air and all the beasts of the field."
Oh I could have fun now, but I will stop and let you cogitate over it for a bit LOL
